She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hajny and Christina Hajny (Petr); her husband Raymond Mertens; and her sister Lorene. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Matthew Wiard, Amanda (Brandon Gerhardt), Megan Wiard, Michael (Jenna Wiard), Ashley (Brad Palu), Alyssa (Eric Moeller) and Alexandra (Dalton Thomlison); her great grandchildren, Harmony, Gabriel Wiard, Eliza, Emmaline Gerhardt, Olivia, Brooks Palu and Easton Moeller; her brother John; and her sister-in-law Geri Hajny. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
