She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Max; her husband Marvin Hoppe; her children, Randy Hoppe, Nancy Lowe, Dick Hoppe (Mary), Brenda Carpenter (Mike) and Todd Hoppe (Nancy); her siblings, Ervin, Leon, Harlan Ruhnke and Esther Connell; and her son-in-law Sid Lowe. She was also cherished by eleven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
