She was predeceased by: her mother Mildred Arwine; and her adoptive parent Dale Gates (Ruth Gates). She is survived by: her birth mother Mildred Cook; her sisters-in-law, Arlene Hansen and Willa Cleary; and also, Dewane Houtwed, Ruth, Dwayne, Jens, Mabel Houtwed, Gene Hansen and Bill Cleary. She is also survived by her four boys, four daughters in law, and also twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
