With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lowell W. Vawser of Fairbury, Nebraska, born in Burke, South Dakota, who passed away on May 2, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Vawser and Alice Vawser (Vaughn); his parents-in-law, Orlin and Edna Wegner; his siblings, Ruth Vawser, Teddy Mae Larson (Vern) and Leland Vawser; his siblings-in-law, Ellen Wegner and Gary Wegner; his daughter-in-law Patricia Vawser; his grandchildren, Lowell L. Vawser and Kelly Gilbert; his great grandchild Ellie Scherbarth; and his niece Sharon Pfeifer.
He is survived by: his wife LaRae Wegner; his children, Janet Bauer (Bill), Laura Gilbert (Kent) and Daniel Vawser (Sharon); his siblings, Lyle Vawser (Marlene), Marjorie Winder (Norman) and Marilyn Harig (Karl); his sister-in-law Rose Vawser; and his grandchildren, Erin Bauer (Reed Tyler), Meagan Stobel (Andy), Victoria Bauer, Katie Smith (Bobby), Melody Findley (Jesse), Levi Bauer, Wesley Scherbarth (Ashley) and Casey Gilbert. He is also survived by seven great-granddaughters; six great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Fairbury Community Foundation or Grace Lutheran Church.
