He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis C. Jurgens and Muriel L. Jurgens (Volkman); and his grandparents, John, Mary Jurgens, Richard and Isabelle Volkman.

He is survived by: his daughter Michelle (Chad Dormann); his wife Barbara; his children, Dallas Jurgens of Lincoln and Lea Fortin of Lincoln; and his sisters, Sharon (Leonard Warner), Judy (Mike Spillane), Jolene (Dub Stringer) and Mary (Dan Tresnak). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
