She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Grummert and Hattie Grummert (Krause); her husband Lester; her children, David Koenig and Mary Haney; her siblings, Phyllis Grummert and Kenneth Grummert (Arlene); and her sisters-in-law, Marlys Grummert, Ione Bessler (Merlin), Marilyn Koenig and Francie Koenig.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Schwan (Kenneth) of Western, Judy VanOosbree (Jerry) of Adams, MN and Douglas Koenig (Laura) of Western; her son-in-law Bruce Haney of Glenpool, OK; her siblings, Marcella Koca (Glenn) of Papillion and Dale Grummert of Fairbury; and her brother-in-law James Koenig of Papillion. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A prayer was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 10:45 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (72165 573rd Ave, Plymouth, NE 68424). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice (1202 US Hwy 136, Beatrice, NE 68310).
A memorial has been established to Peace Lutheran Church, rural Plymouth.
