He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Hauschel and Hilda Hauschel (Miller); his wife Marcella "Kay" Conrad; his parents-in-law, Jack and Virgina Conrad; and his sister-in-law Becky Larsen.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Hauschel (Lana) of Valley Falls, KS, Micki Meenen (Pat) of Hiawatha, KS, Tom Hauschel (Shelly) of Urbandale, IA and Jacki Zabokrtsky (Travis) of Morrowville, KS; his grandchildren, Lauren King (Matt), Reba Hauschel (Karl Law), Ashli Melon (Ricardo), Kyle Meenen (Shelby), Shane Meenen (Emily), Jake Hauschel (Tami), Cody Hauschel, Micaela Brooke (Reid), Tori Zabokrtsky and Tray Zabokrtsky; his brother Gary Hauschel (Kay); and his brothers-in-law, John Conrad (Lina) and John Larsen (Jorena). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

“Thoughts and prayers to the Hauschel family. Larry let us hunt his farm for several years and we had some good laughs and great memories with Larry. One time i shot a turkey with my bow on his land and I actually retrieved the turkey and laid it next to the blind. The turkey literally got up and ran away and we never got it. Larry laughed and laughed at me. The next year when we returned Larry had a pair of shackles awaiting for me to handcuff the turkeys with going forward! He will be missed!”
