With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dale Louis Duis of Fairbury, Nebraska, born in Odell, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Duis and Louise Duis (Maatsch); his stepmother Martha Duis (Klocke); his brothers, Loren Duis and Everett Duis; and his daughter Marsha Duis Lease.
He is survived by: his wife Harlana Duis; his sons, Alan (Wendy Duis) of Montrose Colorado and Kevin Duis of Montrose Colorado; his sisters, Della Moger of Colorado and Donette Bertwell (Larry); his stepchildren, Nichel, Tom of Fairbury Nebraska, Josh and Carrie of Murfessboro Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Kaylin Duis, John, Eza, Saroya Zimmerman, Peyton and Ashley Grubbs.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gerdes Meyer Funeral Home (2414 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352).
Memorials will go to St. Jude.
