It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lea Schoenrock of Fairbury, Nebraska, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Max and Iva Leona Kirby (Nance); her brother Marvin Lee Kirby (Dwaine Freitag); and her close friend Phyllis Wasserman. She is survived by: her husband Verl Schoenrock of Fairbury, NE; her sons, Russ, Randy (Esther) and Eric (Jessica); her stepson Matt (Elaine Schoenrock); and her grandchildren, Amber, Jesus Gaytan, Forest, Linsey Freitag, Paige Freitag, Brett Freitag, Amanda, Travis Trofholz, Rachael, Nathan Johnson, Haylee, Ryan Linton and Ty Schoenrock.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home (2414 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Zion Countryside Church (56205 713th Rd, Fairbury, NE 68352).
