He was predeceased by: his parents, Monte W. Hanson and Agatha M. Hanson (Ruhl); and his grandparents, Giles, Anna Hanson, Allie and Theresa Ruhl.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Perkins; his children, JoDeen Swartz (Phil) of Exeter and Mark (Angela Farmer) of Lincoln; and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Tyler Swartz of Lincoln, Trevor Swartz of Exeter, Ryen Ann Hanson of Tuscon, Bailey Hanson of Lincoln, Dalton Carter of Lincoln, Aeva and Mason Farmer of Lincoln. He is also survived by two children, five grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
Although he struggled with Parkinson's since 2006, he always kept a positive attitude and continued to travel and attend his grandkid's activities.
