It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia D. Schurr of Eustis, Nebraska, who passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Herman Hablitzel and Erna Hablitzel (Fiene); her former life partner Walter Betz; her son-in-law Meddie Cote; her great great grandchild Ryken Lea Wolfe; her siblings-in-law, Leonard Snow, Jack Whitcomb, Bill Betz, Calvin Owen, Bonnie Betz and Carolyn Schurr; and her great great grandchild Opal Grace Schurr.

She is survived by : her husband LaRaye Schurr; her children, Annette Wolfe (George) of Columbus, Joyce Cote of Cozad, Sherry Hueftle (Lee) of Eustis, Glenda Naughtin (Mike) of Grand Island and Arlo Schurr (Lisa) of Eustis; her grandchildren, Jenifer Klingelhoefer (Dan) of Spendora, TX, Danyel Olmer (Kevin) of Columbus, Nicholas Wolfe (Cristin) of Cozad, Adam Cote (Kassie) of Salina, KS, Jared Cote (Cassie) of Lincoln, Steven Cote (Elizabeth) of Cozad, Mariah Cote of Denver, CO, Kristine Moninger (Dell) of Broken Bow, Kara Herrman (Brett) of Colby, KS, Kevan Hueftle (Nicole) of Eustis, Elise Fite of Kansas City, MO, Michaela Sewalson of Kansas City, MO, Tyler Schurr (Kayelon) of Eustis, Miranda Weitzenkamp (Bryan) of Columbus, Ashley Pleschourt, Alex Ayers (Alex) of Central City, Sara Beckmann (Trenton) of Ulysses and Spencer Pleschourt (Jercey) of Cozad; her siblings, L. Keith VonHall (Pam) of Jasper, FL, NoElla Snow of Hastings and Nina Whitcomb of North Platte; and her sisters-in-law, Kathy Muñiz (Vince) of Papillion and Mary Bakke (Bruce) of Garfield, AR.. She is also survived by 35 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church-Eustis (102 Ingalls St, Eustis, NE 69028). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Elwood Care Center or Eustis Senior Center.
