He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Joy and Joy Bell Joy (Newell); his wife Rosalie Joy of Eustis, NE; his children, Brent Joy (Sharon Ann) of Boca Raton, FL and Yvette Joy of Gothenburg, NE; and his siblings, Verle Joy (Marylyn) of Winona, TX, Norman Joy (Leona) of Hutchinson, KS and Phyllis Bartley (Carl) of Valley Falls, KS. He was also cherished by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Eustis Fire Department & Rescue, Faith Chapel, Fairview Cemetery, or the Eustis Senior Center.
