He was predeceased by: his father Walter Demke; his sister Judith Marykae Demke; and his parents-in-law, John and Virginia Saltzman (Huggenberger). He is survived by: his mother Eileen Demke (Hightree) of Emerson, NE; his daughter-in-law Nikole Stewart; his wife Sharon Demke of Emerson, NE; his son Nick Demke (Nikole) of Elk Point, SD; his sister Cindy Chester (Paul) of Belen, NM; and his grandson Wayde Deurksen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
