He was predeceased by: his father Delbert Gradert; and his stepfather LeRoy Peters. He is survived by: his mother Maxine Gradert (Bokemper); his spouse Beverly Oetken; his sisters, Judy Gathje (Harlan), Betty Svitak (Ray) and Cathy Hulsebus (Richard); his stepbrother Dean Peters (Joann); his sister-in-law Janice Gradert; and his brothers, Jerry and David. He is also survived by his wife's siblings and their spouses, several nieces, and nephews.
