She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Bill, Helen Demke, Herbert and Leona Hightree; and her son-in-law Doug.

She is survived by: her parents, Walter Demke and Eileen Demke (Hightree); her husband Steve Emmons; her children, Michael Emmons (Katie Schallau) of LeMars, IA, Spencer Emmons (Brooke) of Mapleton, IA, Kristin Anderson (Jeff) of Sioux City, IA and Vanessa Emmons of Harlan, IA; her siblings, Cindy Chester (Paul) and Robert Demke (Sharon) of Emerson, NE; and her close friend Lee Maslonka of Walthill, NE.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 3 nephews; 1 niece.
