It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irvin J. Schlickbernd of Emerson, Nebraska, born in Beemer, Nebraska, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Schlickbernd and Christina Schlickbernd (Batenhorst); his wives, Donna Schlickbernd of Mary's Church and Darlene Schlickbernd; his brother Robert (Mary Schlickbernd); and his brothers-in-law, Fritz Lueckenhoff and Patrick McGill, III.
He is survived by: his children, Peg Belt (Rod) of Beatrice, NE, Joan Vraspir (Mike) of Emerson, Sandy Servine (Tom) of Waterbury, NE, Lori Blanke (Dion) of Emerson, NE and Terry Schlickbernd (Lisa) of Omaha, NE; and his siblings, Rosie Lueckenhoff, Alvera Uhing (Roman), Rita McGill and Ken Schlickbernd (Joyce). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
