He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Mackling and Clara Mackling (Hopp); his siblings, Ivan, Lloyd, Eugene, Dorothy Carper and Jennilou Heitzman; and his sons, Brian, Greg and Jeff.
He is survived by: his son Vaughn; his grandchildren, Shelly Metschke (Chad), Brian Mackling (Debbie), Jon Mackling and Dawn Beacom (Eric); and his sister June Meech. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
