He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Kunz and Elenora Kunz (Gress); his son Paul Allen Kunz; his granddaughter Jennifer Glasgow; his sister UnaJean Blum (Kunz); his brother-in-law Herbert Blum; his brother Udene Kunz; and his brother-in-law Dan Klaumann.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Walter; his children, David Kunz of Ceresco, NE, Renee Coleman (Kunz) of Lincoln, NE, Mark, Nancy Kunz of Lincoln, NE, John and LeAnn Nebelsick (Kunz) of Council Bluffs, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Margareta Kunz, Jerry, Bethene VanHorn (Kunz), LuAnn Klaumann (Kunz), Orlin and Linda Kunz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepard Lutheran Church or St. Jude Hospital.
