Marietta Vogt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2020, at the age of 86, Marietta Vogt (Elmwood, Nebraska) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman H. Bredthauer and Hazel F. Bredthauer (Boettger); her brother Gordon Bredthauer; her siblings-in-law, Marie Backstrom (Linnier), Margaret Walkup, Bill Vogt (Gwen) and Lloyd Vogt (Jo); and her nephews, Steve Vogt and Bill Walkup.
She is survived by: her sons-in-law, Steve and Bill; her husband Elmer of Elmwood; her children, Susan Russell (Steve) of Kodiak, AK, Sharon Gilg (Bill) of Central City and Gary Vogt of Elmwood; her grandsons, Andrew Gilg of Anchorage, AK and Matthew Gilg of Lincoln; her brother Don Bredthauer (Barb) of Omaha; and her brothers-in-law, Armin Vogt (Mary) of Lincoln, Wendell Walkup (Margaret) of York and John Vogt (Kathy) of Springfield, OR. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Methodist Church or to Elmwood Fire and Rescue.
