He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bornemeier and Jeannette Bornemeier (Miller); his parents-in-law, John and Florence Stolz; his siblings-in-law, Beverly Lannin (Larry) and Hugh Spaulding; and his granddaughter Kylie Tooley.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann; his daughters, Debra Whitehead (Dave) and Janet Tooley (Tim); his grandchildren, Rebecca Smith (Bryan), Katie Pasniewski (Tom), Jacob Tooley (Kelsea), Jamie Heine (John) and Toby Tooley; his great grandchildren, Ava, Olivia and Owen Smith; his grandchildren, Ryan Pasniewski, Maura, Louisa Tooley, Kaylin and Konnor Heine; his sister Jeannie Spaulding; and his sister-in-law Sherry Stubbendeck (Wayne). He is also survived by two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends.

The family requests memorials be made to the Elmwood Community Center, St. Paul United Methodist Church, and the Elmwood Rescue Squad.
