It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Vogt of Elmwood, Nebraska, who passed away on November 6, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Vogt and Martha M. Vogt (Luetchens); his wife Marietta; his siblings, Bill Vogt (Gwen), Lloyd Vogt (Jo), Armin Vogt, Marie Backstrom (Linnier) and Margaret Walkup; his brother-in-law Gordon Bredthauer; and his nephews, Steve Vogt and Bill Walkup.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Russell (Steve) of Kodiak, AK, Sharon Gilg (Bill) of Central City and Gary Vogt of Elmwood; his grandsons, Andrew Gilg of Anchorage, AK and Matthew Gilg (Lauren) of Lincoln; his brother John Vogt (Kathy) of Springfield, OR; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Vogt of Lincoln, Wendell Walkup (Margaret) of York and Don Bredthauer (Barb) of Omaha, NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Methodist Church or to Elmwood Fire and Rescue.
