With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoEtta Ann Vernon of Elkhorn, Nebraska, born in Hillsdale, Michigan, who passed away on October 19, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Douglas Vernon; her parents, Russell Tenney and Trulah Tenney; and her siblings, Vincent Tenney and Betty Huston.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Vernon (Jerry); her sons, David Vernon (Nora) and Kent Vernon (Theresa); her grandchildren, Michael Vernon, Grant Vernon, Laurel Vernon, Hailey Vernon, Paige Wickwire (Matt), Tiger Tuchel and Mattias Tuchel; and her pets, Minnie and Lucy. She is also survived by her family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Augustine or the Christian Outreach Program of Elkhorn (COPE) food pantry.
