It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Vernon of Elkhorn, Nebraska, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on November 2, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife JoEtta Vernon (JoEy); his son Douglas Vernon; and his parents, Wendell Vernon and Dorothy Vernon. He is survived by: his brother Douglas Vernon (Jane); his sons, David Vernon (Nora) and Kent Vernon (Theresa); and his grandchildren, Michael Vernon, Grant Vernon, Laurel Vernon, Hailey Vernon, Paige Wickwire (Matt), Tiger Tuchel and Mattias Tuchel. He is also survived by his family and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Augustine or the Christian Outreach Program of Elkhorn (COPE) food pantry.
