We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2025, at the age of 90, Eileen C. Schafer in Elkhorn, Nebraska, born in Omaha, Nebraska passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Sr. McDermott and Edna McDermott (Smith); her sons, Pat, Mike and Tim; her siblings, Father Tom McDermott, Frances Rodgers, James McDermott, Phillip McDermott Jr. and Mary Larson; and her grandson Kenneth Wells.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Carr (Glenn), Kelly Bartlett, Terry Schafer and Kathy Harris (Shawn); and her siblings, Pat Wilson, Theresa Tunender (Jim) and William McDermott. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pacific Street Chapel (14151 Pacific St, Omaha, NE 68154). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (14330 Eagle Run Dr, Omaha, NE 68164).
