It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlene Ruth Petersen of Elkhorn, Nebraska, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Grube and Charlotte Grube (Pelzer); her son Douglas; her husband Harold "Pete" Petersen; and her brother Gary Grube.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy Fisher (Rick) of Yutan, Daniel Petersen, Robert Gittins of Omaha and Patrick Petersen (Nicole) of Yutan; her daughter-in-law Cynthia Petersen of Waterloo, NE; her grandchildren, Jessica Killian (Grant), Kelli Jo Fisher, Nate Fisher, Brian Petersen, Ellie Petersen and Sam Petersen; and her great grandchild Bennett Killian.
