It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Damratowski of Elkhorn, Nebraska, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Smedra and Sally Ann Smedra (Kaminski); her husband Harold E. Damratowski; and her son Randy Damratowski. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Zurek of Omaha, Jeff, Linda Damratowski of Dannebrog, Lorie and Mark Alexander of Grand Island; and her sister Bonnie (Dennis Piontkowski). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Leo's Catholic Church (2410 S Blaine St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A rosary will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (3826 W Stolley Park Rd, Grand Island, NE 68803).
