With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois E. Pietzyk of Elk Creek, Nebraska, who passed away on February 5, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Lois find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Marrs and Marjorie Marrs (Wachtel); her husband Raymond Pietzyk of Mary's Catholic Church; and her sons-in-law, Daniel Gemmell and Dennis Hardy.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Gemmell of Marble Falls, TX, John (Beth) of Broken Bow, OK and Kathleen Hall (Phil) of Humboldt, NE.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Wherry Mortuary (202 N 3rd St, Tecumseh, NE 68450). A rosary was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Andrew Catholic Church (186 N 5th St, Tecumseh, NE 68450). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery (186 N 5th St, Tecumseh, NE 68450).
