Leroy J. Kerkman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2020, at the age of 74, Leroy J. Kerkman of Elgin, Nebraska, born in Norfolk, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, August Kerkman and Helen Kerkman (Meis); and his granddaughter Emma Kerkman. He is survived by: his wife Linda Marie Weiland of Elgin; his children, Julie Saathoff (Ron) of York, NE, Jeremie Kerkman (Jaime) of Lincoln, NE, Jared Kerkman (Laura) of Palmyra, NE and Jesse Kerkman (Lindsay) of Lincoln, NE; his grandchildren, Zach, Tyler, Justin, Elle, Trevor, Charlotte Kerkman, Alex and Josh Saathoff; and his siblings, LaVonne Miller (Chip) of Sheldon, IA, Leland Kerkman (Rita) of Fremont, NE and Leon Kerkman (Annette) of Cypress, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Current Covid-19 DHM's in effect, including social distancing, will be followed at both the visitation and mass.
He served terms on the school boards of Pope John Central Catholic and Elgin Public schools, St. Boniface Finance Committee, Boone County Health Center Foundation Board and was a longtime member of St. Boniface Choir.
