It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Smith of Elgin, Nebraska, who passed away on July 16, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Smith and Lois Smith (Barrington); his siblings, Aubrey, Dean, Fern and Marjorie; his children, David Smith and Connie Hankin; his grandson Jerold Obershaw; his sons-in-law, Jim Eisenhauer and Leo Obershaw; and his brother-in-law Ervin Harr.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Carley of Elgin; his daughters, Karen Eisenhauer of Bloomfield and Pamela Smith of O'Neill; his brother Stan Smith of Ainsworth, NE; and his sister-in-law Joy Harr of Lincoln. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
