It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVerne Linus Hoefer of Elgin, Nebraska, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Linus Hoefer and Anna Rueth; his daughter Carol; his grandson Mark; his daughters-in-law, Karla and Pat; his parents-in-law, Ben and Anna Kuhlman; his brother Delmont; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Hoefer and Bernard Kuhlman.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadine A. Kuhlman; his sons, Fred Hoefer of Lindsay, NE, Dean Hoefer (Sandi) of Columbus, NE, Rick Hoefer (Val) of Petersburg, NE, Tom Hoefer (Kathy) of David City, NE and Bob Hoefer (Jaci) of Elgin, NE; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Kuhlman, Mary Ann Mack (Norm) and Pat Stehly. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Carson Cancer Center in Norfolk, NE.
