It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph William Bode of Elgin, Nebraska, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bode and Delores Bode (Klein); and his brothers-in-law, Ron Reestman and Terry Henn. He is survived by: his caregivers, Ralph Bode (Jeanette), Laurie Stratman (Les), Donna Brester (Jerome), Joyce Reestman (Kenny), Doris Dederman (Fred), Jeanette Thiem (Dick), Janice Henn, Marilyn Reestman, Roger Bode (Roxanne) and Ronnie Bode (Liane); and also, Meaghan, Bryan and Christopher.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church - Raeville. A wake was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
