He was predeceased by: his parents, Derrel J. Porter and Regene A. Porter (Kuszak); and his brother Mark Porter. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Obermeier (Damon Lauritsen) and Jason (Lisa Porter); his grandchildren, Abbie, Parker Sis of Axtell, Mackenzie Obermeier of Omaha, Luke Porter of St. Paul, Macy Porter of St. Paul and Broc Porter of St. Paul; his great grandchild Collins Sis; his brother Dan; his sister-in-law Carol Porter of LaVista; his sister Christine; his brother-in-law Delton Myers of Papillion; and his nieces and nephews, Nicholas Porter, Ryan Porter, Kacie, Kyle Lindeman, Nate and Mariela Myers.
Memorials are suggested to the Porter family to establish a music scholarship in Gary's name.
