He was predeceased by: his stepparents, Sharon Benson and Peter Peterson; and his grandparents, Earl, Ila Benson, Joe and Marie Rinke.

He is survived by: his children, Brandi, Dillon and Devin; his wife Christine; his mother Rosanne; his stepfather Greg; his father Robert; and his brothers, Jeff McCoy and Jay McCoy. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
