We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2018, at the age of 85, Maurine L. Johnson (Dorchester, Nebraska), born in Sioux City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Morgan and Ora Beermann Morgan; and her sister Miriam Schneider. She is survived by: her spouse Frederic B. Gibbs; her sons, Gregory W. Gibbs (Karen), John S. Johnson (Margaret) and Donald E. Johnson; her grandchildren, Alexander Gibbs, Gabrielle Gibbs, Jason Johnson (Erika) and Christopher Johnson (Cari); her great grandchildren, Mallory Johnson and Meredith Johnson; her sister Katherine Shelly; her nephew William M. Shelly (Lori); her niece Elizabeth A. Anderson; and her great-nephews, Morgan Shelly and Taylor Shelly. She is also survived by numerous cousins, and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, Lincoln, and the Dorchester United Methodist Church.
