With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Hecox of Dorchester, Nebraska, born in Gothenburg, Nebraska, who passed away on March 25, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother June Belle Hecox (Haynes); his wife Nora Fortune; and his father Gene Hecox. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Kathy (Ron Peterson), Janet (Roy Olsen) and Garland; and his brother Jerry (Beverly Hecox). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
