He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Pierce and Helen Pierce (Whitcomb); his brother Jim; and his son Douglas. He is survived by : his wife Gladys Hablitzel; and his sons, Charlie Pierce (Angie) and TJ Pierce of Lincoln. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
