He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Mandel and Adella Mandel (Bures); his siblings, Marlene Schlautman, David (Gladys), Eugene, Harvey, Roy and Ray Mandel; and his brother-in-law Marvin Kucera.
He is survived by: his wife Marietta Mejstrik of Dodge; his children, Brenda Wood (Marty) of Omaha, Bruce (Monica) of Windsor, CA, Paul (JoAnn) of Louisville, TN, Gary (Geri) of Scottsdale, AZ and Mark (Candace) of Springfield; his siblings, Charlene Kucera of Dodge and Richard (Diane) of West Point; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Schlautman of Beemer, Angie Mandel of Dodge and Mary Mandel of Dodge. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Charities, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, or Dodge Volunteer Fire Department.
