Steven DeMerritt Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2024, at the age of 76, Steven DeMerritt of Dix, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Steven departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Steven may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Steven leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Howard DeMerritt and Nellie Catherine DeMerritt. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; and his sons, Steven (Toni) and Stan (Jean). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Terpening & Son (611 W Grand Ave, Artesia, NM 88210).
