With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vern E. Harris of Dickens, Nebraska, who passed away on July 30, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Harris and Blanche Harris (Lacy); his wife Nora Ann Harris; and his siblings, Robert Harris, Ruth Baker Blomstedt and Zola Ray Melichar.

He is survived by: his children, Scott Harris (Deborah) of Dickens, Diana Phelps (Gerry) of North Platte and Melinda Harris of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Dan Phelps (Lannae), Brent Phelps (Jessica), Tiffany Volden (Ben), Ashton Harris, Brooke Yubaile (Charbel) and Shanice Harris-Nooraei (Ali); and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Olivia, Oliver, Isabel, Grace Phelps, Elizabeth Volden and Javier Yubaile.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wallace, NE.
