It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roland Garrison of DeWitt, Nebraska, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Garrison and Lizzie Garrison (Essman); his former wife Ellen; his son Randy Garrison; his siblings, Duffy Garrison (Jene), Rosa Higgins (Jim), Fern Welch (Bud) and Idell Mead (Pete); his grandson Holden Rahe; and his parents-in-law, Ed, Emma Petracek, Eugene Petracek (Ilene), Jack, Ella Quackenbush, Guy Mentel and Nita Higgins.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Steve Garrison (Donna) of DeWitt, Tim Garrison (Pam) of DeWitt, Dustin Garrison of DeWitt, Kerri Thornburg (Kevin) of DeWitt and Kristi Rahe (Monte Murkle) of DeWitt; his daughter-in-law Cyndi Novotny of Beatrice; his stepchildren, Randy Bartlett (Jane) of DeWitt, Teri Clark (Jim) of Lincoln, Robin Bartlett (Renee) of DeWitt, Rusty Bartlett (Brenda) of Pender, Tyler Mentel of DeWitt and Riley Bartlett (Tawnya) of Knob Noster, MO; and his brother Terry Higgins (Donna) of Copperas Cove, TX.. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge.
