He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Niemeyer and LaVina Niemeyer (Nelson); and his parents-in-law, Byron and Dorothy Homolka. He is survived by: his sister Martha Lee Heyne (Matt) of Yankton, SD; his aunt Linda Henning of Crete; and his sisters-in-law, Vicki Nielsen (Dave) and Debbie Spanyers. He is also survived by cousins & friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A prayer was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lutheran Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to St Paul's (Soap Creek) Lutheran Church and the Cortland Fire and Rescue.
