He is survived by: his parents, David Nelson and Zetty Claire Nelson (Bailey); his wife Barbara Kubista; his daughters, Janet Slama (Brad), Karen Nelson (Dave Thomsen) and Lisa Toelle (Trent); his grandchildren, Marie, Christopher and John Slama; his brothers, Doug Nelson (Dawn), Brad Nelson (Sharon) and Gregg Nelson (Denise); his mother-in-law Fran Kubista; and his brothers-in-law, Steve Kubista (Carol) and Doug Kubista (Toni). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Sesostris Shrine Temple and the Trinity Lutheran Church with the funeral home in charge.
