He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Mussmann and Edna Mussmann (Ruskin); his wife Janette Houtwed of Mark's Lutheran Church; and his siblings, Orlin, Wilbur, Hildreth, Norma, Wilma, Claris, Lila and Loretta.
He is survived by: his son David (Deb) of Ruskin; his grandchildren, Kristi Beethe (Ben) of Steinauer, Kelly Schuster (Jared) of Tecumseh and Trenton Mussmann of Ruskin; his great grandchildren, Macey Pietzyk (Donavin) of Omaha, Cameron Schuster, Kaityn Schuster of Tecumseh, Trevor Pietzyk, Brayden Beethe and Eve Beethe of Steinauer; his siblings, Berwyn (Millie) of Eden, Idaho, Lucille Nelson (Conrad) of Lincoln and Iona Biltoft of Ruskin; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Stelzer of Lincoln, Rena Kellner of Fremont, Russell Schroeder of Davenport and Allan Houtwed (Karen) of York. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Abiding Word Lutheran Church (1502 1st St, Deshler, NE 68340).
Memorials are suggested to Courtyard Terrace Assisted Living in Hebron or Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Desher.
