He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Smith and Phyllis Smith (Phelps); his brother Ted Smith; and his parents-in-law, Art and Janice Mussack (Kruse).
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Smith (Mussack); his daughter Marie Sunderman (Mike) of Emerson, NE; his grandchildren, Andrew of Wayne, Mica and Kiya of Emerson; his daughter Kellie Brown (Chris) of Belton, TX; his grandchildren, Brieann Ward (Shane) and Riley Brown of St. Marys, GA; and his great grandchildren, Jordyn, Drew and Sam. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
