He is survived by: his former wives, Linda Hartman and Barbara Teeters; his wife Barb Nicola; his children, Julie Stumpf (Kurt), James Nelson Nicola Jr. (Jimmy) of Fort Dodge, IA and Donald Clarence Nicola (Amy) of Tekamah, NE.; his grandchildren, Jessica Taets (Ross) of Waukee, IA, Matthew Stumpf (Megan) and Jacquelyn Peed (Landon) of Fort Dodge, IA.; his stepgrandchildren, Chase and Addison Reyzlik of Tekamah, NE.; his great grandchildren, Paizley, Tucker, Rylee, Logan, Cooper, Cameron and Baby Taets; his siblings, Jeff Nicola (Bonnie) of Kennard, NE, Joe Nicola (Tammy) of Omaha, Susie Walenz (Mike) of Hastings, NE, Nancy Mahon (Paul) of Omaha, Mary Hill (Dennis) of Lincoln, NE and Theresa Portis (Bob) of Omaha; and his sister-in-law Laura Castor of Decatur, NE.
