It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Eugene Yocum of Dawson, Nebraska, born in Beloit, Kansas, who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Owen and Lois Maxine Yocum (Groves); and his brothers, Alan, Grant and Johnny Yocum.
He is survived by: his wife Glen Yocum of Dawson; his children, Jessica Raney (John) of Falls City, Danna Smith (Josh) of Beatrice, NE and Marcus Yocum of Stella, NE; his granddaughters, Megan Bartram (Kile) of Lincoln and Chelsea Yocum (Josh Bachman) of Bern, KS; his children, Nathan Smith (Taylor Shaw) of Beatrice, NE, Robert Richardson (Taylor Timothy) of Falls City and Aden Smith of Watertown, SD; his siblings, Rosie Ekpe of Kansas City, KS, Glenda Jones of Holton, KS and Brian Jones (Rene) of Humboldt, NE; and his sister-in-law Linda Yocum of Carrollton, TX. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wherry Mortuary (207 Nemaha St, Humboldt, NE 68376).
Memorial contributions may be given to the family's choice with a later designation.
