It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Richard Darnell Sr. of David City, Nebraska, born in Wymore, Nebraska, who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Darnell and Leona Darnell (Hamilton). He is survived by: his wife Mary Sage; his children, Donald Darnell (Trish) of Rising City, Bill Darnell, Jr. (Kay) of Rockport Texas, Susan Landwehr (Robert) of Rising City and James Darnell (Brandi) of Prague; and his sister Judy Kassenbaum (Jerry) of Lincoln. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
