He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Capoun and Emma Capoun (Hostek); his daughter Ann Capoun; and his siblings, Robert Ponec (Margie), William Ponec and Myra Kouma (Bernie).
He is survived by: his significant other Clarice Chapek; his children, David Capoun (Alexandra Cruz) of Omaha, Mark Capoun (Lynne) of Omaha, Kay Caldwell (Everette) of Belleville and Joan Cech (Ted) of David City; and his sister-in-law Elsie Ponec of David City. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
