He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Steffel and Mary Steffel (Dostal); his wife Anna; and his siblings, Amos, Longin Steffel, Helen Maly and Adella Hamsa.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry Steffel (Judy) of Evergreen, Ray Steffel (Sue) of Beaver Lake and Dale Steffel of Howells; and his friend Elaine Stoupa. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren as well as three nieces.
