He is survived by: his wife Beth Klosterman; his daughter Anna Katherine Baker of Florida; his grandchildren, Jordan Baker, Ellen Pearson (Shayne) and Katherine Baker; his daughter Meg Klosterman Kester (Ken) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Jacob Kester, Jed Kester, Molly Clinkscales (Jeff) and Liz Gallardo (Guillermo); his son John C. Klosterman III (Julie) of David City; his grandchildren, Elise Brown (Adam), Henry Klosterman (Molly), Mary Klosterman and Caitlin Sutter (Will); his great grandchildren, Samuel Kester, Eloise and Avery Brown; his children, Royce, Walt, Ida Klosterman and Jack Sutter; and his sisters, Katherine Ratiner of Silver Springs, MD and Ann Klosterman of Golden, CO..

He also served on the board of directors of the Future Generations Health Care Foundation in David City.
